About me

A little bit about me:

About me

Hey there, welcome to Adventure Eat and Travel!

My name is Janine Ann, I’m 26, and I love traveling! My passion for exploring had always been apparent. However, not always knowing how to do so on a budget has been such a grand inhibiter. It wasn’t until 2018 that I changed my perspective from “dreamer” to “doer”. Finally being able to overcome those obstacles has brought me an unmeasurable amount of happiness and of course, adventure seeking pleasure.

Wether that be spending time volunteering to rescue coral reefs or planning a month long road trip across the U.S with my best friend. I strive to live a life of adventure. Nothing too crazy, but definitely a wide range of adventure travel activities. Some of my all time favorite adventures include skydiving in New Zealand, scuba diving with Nemo in The Great Barrier Reef, and dancing with locals during a traditional dance celebration in Thailand.

I have an artistic background specifically in filmmaking, photography, and sculpture. As you might imagine, I’m drowning in student debt. Hence, why I have such a strong focus on traveling on a budget. I truly believe that everyone can experience all the wonders this world has to offer them if only they knew exactly what to expect. I aspire to show you how I lived (very comfortably) in Thailand for 30 days spending less than $1,000 in hopes that it will inspire you to jump out of your seat and explore.

I’ve made it my life’s mission to live an adventure filled life constantly exploring, all while respecting the life around us. That’s why I am an environmental enthusiast, and plant based activist. I realize that it may be difficult at times to follow this diet in certain areas of the world. Especially when you are feeling a calling to sample delicious cultural foods specific to that region. In my experience I’ve found that it is in fact very possible to get the best of both worlds. Eating the tastiest of vegan foods, respecting the culture, and most importantly, ensuring you are never jeopardizing your health. After all, all that exploring is bound to tire you out. It’s important to refuel as the next adventure awaits!

Well that’s enough about me! Welcome to AdventurEatandTravel, where I share memorable adventures, tips on traveling on a budget, and reviews on the best vegan eats. Stay tuned!

With love,

Janine
